What restrooms does a 150-guest wedding need?
A 150-guest wedding with a bar, lasting 5 hours, needs 5 toilets by our planning chart. Couples usually choose 4 flushing units with sinks plus 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. Another option is one 2-stall restroom trailer plus 2 flushing units. Add a hand-wash station near the catering tent.
| Guests (5-hr, bar) | Flushing units | Or trailer setup |
|---|---|---|
| 75 | 3 (incl. 1 accessible) | 1 two-stall trailer + 1 accessible unit |
| 125 | 5 (incl. 1 accessible) | 1 trailer + 2 flushing + 1 accessible |
| 200 | 6 (incl. 1 accessible) | 2 trailers + 1 accessible |
Flushing units or a restroom trailer for a wedding?
Flushing units with sinks cost less and fit almost anywhere. A restroom trailer gives guests real porcelain toilets, vanities, lights and mirrors, but it needs level ground, a 20-amp power outlet within reach and room for a truck to back it in. Barns and tented lawns usually suit flushing units better.
Compare trailer needs on the restroom trailer rental page and flushing unit details on the flushing porta potty page.
When should we book wedding restrooms?
Book wedding restrooms when you book the tent, ideally 2 to 4 months ahead. June, September and early October Saturdays fill first in New England. Trailers are the first item to sell out. Standard flushing units can often be added up to a week before the wedding.
Where should wedding restrooms go?
Wedding restrooms should sit 50 to 100 feet from the reception tent, on level ground, with a lit path. Screen them with plants or a pipe-and-drape panel if the planner wants. Keep them reachable for our truck on pickup day, and away from the catering prep area.
Questions about wedding restrooms
Can someone clean the units during the reception?
An attendant visit during the event can be added for large weddings. Most weddings under 200 guests do fine with units delivered clean and stocked the day before.
Do restroom trailers need power?
A 2-stall trailer needs a standard outdoor outlet (usually 20 amps) within about 50 feet, for lights, fans and pumps. If no outlet is close, plan a quiet generator. Many trailers carry their own fresh-water tank.
Can units be delivered to a field with no driveway?
Units can go on grass fields if the ground is firm and dry. A trailer needs a truck path and level ground. Walk the route with us on the phone and we will tell you what fits.
Do you supply extra toilet paper and soap for the weekend?
Every unit arrives fully stocked. We can leave extra rolls and soap refills for weekend-long celebrations on request.
