How fast can a unit reach the Merrimack Valley versus the North Shore coast?
Delivery speed depends on distance from our Salem, NH yard. Methuen, Lawrence, Andover, North Andover and Haverhill sit inside about 20 miles, so a noon call often gets same-day service. Coastal towns like Gloucester, Beverly and Newburyport are farther out, so call by 10 AM for same-day.
Same-day depends on how many trucks are free that day, and a rush fee may apply. Standard bookings take 1 to 2 business days.
Which Essex County projects need restrooms most often?
Most orders come from home builds, roof jobs and mill conversions in the valley cities. On the coast, summer weddings, harbor festivals and beach-season events drive demand. Many crews keep units on 28-day cycles with weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking all season.
- Renovation and new-build sites in Haverhill, Lawrence and Methuen
- Backyard and farm weddings in Andover, North Andover and Amesbury
- Waterfront events in Salem, Gloucester, Beverly and Newburyport
- Office park and industrial work along I-93, I-495 and Route 128
Who approves a unit placed on a street or public land in Essex County?
Massachusetts has no county government in Essex County, so each city or town sets its own rules. City streets and sidewalks go through the local DPW or public services office. State roads like Route 1, Route 28, Route 114 and Route 128 fall under MassDOT.
For events on a town common or park, the city or town clerk can point you to the right office. Check with them before the delivery date.
Essex County questions
Can you deliver a porta potty to Gloucester or Rockport the same day I call?
Same-day delivery to Cape Ann is possible when you call by 10 AM and a truck is free. These towns sit near the outer edge of our 80-mile range, so a rush fee may apply. Booking 1 to 2 business days ahead is the safer plan, especially on summer weekends when Route 128 traffic is heavy.
Do I need a permit to put a porta potty in front of my house in Lynn or Salem?
A unit on your own driveway or yard usually needs nothing extra. A unit on the street or sidewalk is different. Check with the city's DPW or Inspectional Services before delivery. If the road is a state route, MassDOT controls that right-of-way. We can place the unit on private ground to avoid the question.
What do you bring for an outdoor wedding on the North Shore?
Many couples pick a deluxe flushing unit with a sink, or a 2-stall restroom trailer for larger guest lists. Trailers need level ground, a power hookup and water access. Add a hand-wash station near the food tent. For weekend weddings, we usually drop units Friday and pick them up Monday at no extra charge.
